Assistance Grant for Aided Hostels for Backward Class Boys and Girls Run by Voluntary Organizations

Main Objective of the Scheme:
- To enable backward class students to complete their education and reduce the dropout rate among backward class students in rural areas.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- In addition to Scheduled Caste students, local students from the Mang, Valmiki, Katkari, and Madia Gond categories, as well as orphans, disabled, and destitute students, are given priority for admission to aided hostels according to the prescribed percentage.
Nature of Benefits:
- Employee Salaries: Consolidated honorarium for hostel superintendent, cook, helper, and watchman.
- Nutritional Grant: Rs. 900 per student per month for 10 months.
- Building Rent: 75% of the rent certified by the Public Works Department is provided to the institution.
- Facilities: Accommodation, meals, bedding, sports equipment, etc.
