    Vision

    “To create a society in Maharashtra where every individual especially the marginalized and vulnerable enjoys equitable opportunities social inclusion and dignity fostering a state of social justice harmony and collective prosperity.”

    India celebrated its 75th anniversary of Independence in 2022. Milestones like these not only give an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the past but are also an occasion to envisage a vision for the country. In line with the India 2047 vision Social Justice and Special Assistance Department of Maharashtra aims to work towards overall development of Scheduled Caste communities and under privileged people of Maharashtra for fulfilling their educational social and economic needs in order to propel them towards a fully developed society by 2047.

    Mission

    “The State shall promote with special care the educational and economic interests of the weaker sections of the people and in particular of the Scheduled Castes (SC) and shall protect them from social injustice and all forms of exploitation.”

    The Government of India has set for itself the goal of becoming a developed economy by 2047.

    It is envisaged that India by 2047 will be able to achieve a GDP equivalent to USD 26 Trillion and per capita income exceeding USD 25000 which is the per capita income of developed countries like Spain and Portugal.
