- Use of Futuristic Technology and IT in all processes of the department.
- Formation of sub-department / Department of Efficiency dedicated to AI based decision making budget estimation and guidance on various proposal and file at the department level.
- Formation of new Commissionerate for Transgender community.
- Implementation and strengthening of Welfare Schemes.
- Adherence to SCSP_Guidelines_for_States_2013 from Planning Commission GoI. (No.M-11012/03/2013-SJ&SW)

Compliance to guidelines of National Commission for Scheduled Castes.

Improved SOP in handling of Atrocity cases.
- The District Level Vigilance Monitoring Committee (DLVMC) and State Level Vigilance Monitoring Committee (SLVMC) as per the provisions of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules 1995.
- State-of-the-art facilities at Government Hostels and Residential Schools.
- Use of Renewable energy resources at all premises of the department.
- Empowerment of Marginalized Communities.
- Protection of Rights and Promotion of Social Harmony.
- Upliftment and skill development of marginalized groups.
- Provision of funds for SCSP (now called DAPSC) strictly in proportion to the population of SCs and no lapse or diverting of funds.
The Department through its programs and schemes strives to build an inclusive society wherein members of the target groups are provided adequate support for their growth and development.
The policies and programs of the Department aim towards the following points:
- Educational Economic and Social Empowerment of Scheduled Castes (SCs).
- Supporting Senior Citizens by way of their Maintenance Welfare Security Health Care Productive and Independent living.
- Prevention & Treatment of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (Drugs).
- Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation.
- Protection of rights of Transgender Persons.
