Main Objective of the Scheme:

The Government of Maharashtra has introduced the “Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana” to provide pilgrimage opportunities to senior citizens (60 years and above)
Key Features:
- The beneficiary must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
- The applicant must be 60 years or above
- The beneficiary’s annual family income should not exceed ₹ 2.5 lakh.
- Benefit Details: Pilgrimage Sites in India: 88 , Pilgrimage Sites in Maharashtra: 161
Total Pilgrimage Sites: 249 - The eligible person will receive a one-time benefit for a pilgrimage to one of the designated sites.
- The maximum travel expense assistance per beneficiary is ₹ 30,000.
Required Documents:
- Online application (Mobile number for registration)
- Aadhaar Card/Ration Card
- Proof of residence in Maharashtra (Ration Card, Aadhaar-linked school records, or birth certificate)
- Income certificate proving an annual income of ₹2.5 lakh or less. Or yellow/saffron ration
card - Medical certificate
- Passport-size photos (2)
- An undertaking to comply with the terms and conditions as well as the code of conduct as
per the government decision - If a senior citizen above 75 years of age has submitted an application with an assistant, an
affidavit from the assistant is required
