Enhancing Facilities in Educational Institutions for Scheduled Caste Boys and Girls

Main Objective of the Scheme:
- To provide facilities for backward class students belonging to Scheduled Castes.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- The beneficiary must be admitted to a government hostel or government residential school.
Nature of Benefits:
- Free accommodation and meals, bedding, library facilities, Aquaguard and water cooler in each hostel, and hot water facilities.
- One computer with a printer and internet facilities for every 10 students, fire-fighting facilities, and pest control in the hostel.
- Two uniforms per year for school students and night dresses for hostel students.
- Textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and library books.
- For medical and engineering students, stethoscopes, aprons, drawing boards, boiler suits, and for art students, colors, drawing boards, brushes, canvases, etc., as per their course requirements.
- An additional Rs. 100 per month for girls for hygiene products.
- Maintenance allowance for hostel students for their daily expenses as follows:
- At the divisional level: Rs. 800 per month
- At the district level: Rs. 600 per month
- At the taluka level: Rs. 500 per month
