Main Objective of the Scheme:
- To enable students from backward classes to pursue college/higher education and reduce the dropout rate.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- The student should belong to Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist categories.
- The annual income of the student’s parents should be Rs. 2.5 lakh or less.
- The student should be pursuing post-secondary education and beyond.
- The student should be a resident of Maharashtra.
- Provision of maintenance allowance and tuition fees, examination fees, and other approved fees.
- Maintenance allowance ranging from Rs. 250 to Rs. 700 per month.
- For students residing in hostels, a maintenance allowance ranging from Rs. 400 to Rs. 1350 per month.
