- This scheme, operational since 1966, aims to provide recognition and grants to colleges offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in social work, run by voluntary organizations and affiliated with government-recognized universities. The main objectives are to develop human resources and promote social work education.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- Students must have passed the degree examination and the common entrance test.
Nature of Benefits:
- 100% salary grant for recognized teaching and non-teaching staff.
- 75% building rent grant of the amount certified by the Public Works Department.
- 8% grant of the salary expenditure for non-salary expenses.
