Main Objective of the Scheme:
To provide permanent housing for backward class individuals from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Nomadic Tribes, ensuring they live in a safe and well-facilitated environment.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- In cooperative housing societies under the PWR-219 scheme, the original membership should consist of 90% backward class and 10% non-backward class individuals as per previous government resolutions. After redevelopment, the additional flats should maintain a ratio of 20% backward class and 80% non-backward class.
- All redevelopment proposals must be submitted through MHADA for approval by the Social Justice Department.
Benefits of the Scheme:
- Land Grant: Financial assistance for land, either the price determined by the town planner or the purchase price, whichever is lower.
- Registration Fee: Exemption from stamp duty.
- Development Fund: Payment by the government if applicable.
- Construction Grant: 30% of the construction cost as a grant.
- Interest Subsidy: 10% interest subsidy on loans taken by beneficiaries as per criteria.
