Maharshi Vitthal Ramji Shinde Pre-Matric Education Fee and Examination Fee Reimbursement

Main Objective of the Scheme:

• As per the government resolution dated 24.12.1970, the educational fees of students from Scheduled Castes studying from 1st to 10th standard, whose parents are residents of Maharashtra state, are reimbursed at approved rates without considering their age and income, provided they are studying in recognized educational institutions at all levels.
• According to the government resolution of the School Education Department dated 13.6.1996, the educational fees and term fees of backward class students studying in government-recognized non-government aided and unaided institutions, which charge fees at approved rates, are paid.
• From the academic year 2011-12, the educational fees and examination fees of Scheduled Caste students from families below the poverty line, studying in private unaided and permanently unaided schools from 1st to 10th standard, are reimbursed for a period of 10 months every year.

Key Conditions of the Scheme:

The scholarship is for Scheduled Caste students studying in classes 1st to 10th.

The parents of the students must be residents of Maharashtra. The reimbursement is done without considering the age and income of the students.

The educational and examination fees of Scheduled Caste students from below poverty line families studying in private unaided and permanently unaided schools in classes 1st to 10th are reimbursed.

Nature of Benefits:

The reimbursement rates for Scheduled Caste students are as follows:

• Classes 1st to 4th: Rs. 100 per month (for 10 months)
• Classes 5th to 7th: Rs. 150 per month (for 10 months)
• Classes 8th to 10th: Rs. 200 per month (for 10 months)
