Main Objective of the Scheme:
To eradicate untouchability and raise social awareness.
Benefits of the Scheme:
- Workshops for activists and officials working towards the eradication of untouchability in each division, with an expenditure of ₹50,000/- per division.
- Grants of ₹12,000/- per year to each Panchayat Samiti for organizing three camps annually for Gram Sevaks, Talathis, Panchayat Samiti members, etc., to eradicate untouchability.
- Awards for villages in each district that excel in eradicating untouchability. First prize: ₹3,000/-, Second prize: ₹2,000/-.
- Organizing essay competitions in schools and colleges in each district to eradicate untouchability. First prize: ₹1,000/-, Second prize: ₹750/-, Third prize: ₹500/-.
- Organizing elocution competitions in schools and colleges in each district to eradicate untouchability. First prize: ₹1,000/-, Second prize: ₹750/-, Third prize: ₹500/-.
