Main Objective of the Scheme:

• To enable students from backward classes to pursue college/higher education and reduce the dropout rate.

Key Conditions of the Scheme:

• The student should belong to Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist categories.
• The annual income of the student’s parents should be more than Rs. 2.50 lakh.
• The student should be pursuing post-secondary education and beyond.
• The student should be a resident of Maharashtra.

Nature of Benefits:

• For Scheduled Caste students pursuing post-secondary education, irrespective of their age, tuition fees, examination fees, and other prescribed fees are provided for all district-level recognized post-matric educational courses.
