Scholarship for Students in Secondary Schools

Social Justice and Cultural Affairs Department, Government Resolution: No. EBC-1094/Pr.No.109/Mavak-2, Date: 17 August, 1995
Main Objective of the Scheme:
To provide scholarships to the top two meritorious backward class students in 5th to 7th standards and the top two backward class students in 8th to 10th standards.
Key Conditions of the Scheme:
- The student must be a backward class student studying in recognized primary/secondary schools in classes 5th to 10th.
- This scholarship will be awarded to backward class students who have secured at least 50% marks in the previous annual examination and have ranked first or second among backward class students.
- There is no income limit for backward class students to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Backward class students do not need to apply for this scholarship.
Nature of Benefits:
- For students in 5th to 7th standards: Rs. 50 per month (Rs. 500 for 10 months)
- For students in 8th to 10th standards: Rs. 100 per month (Rs. 1000 for 10 months)
