    State Government Grant to Old Age Homes

    General Old Age Homes (29) State-Sponsored Scheme

    Government Resolutions:

    • Government Resolution No. SW-1062-44945/N, dated 20/02/1963
    • Government Resolution No. BCH-2018/Pr. No. 79/Education-2, dated 3/3/2019

    Main Objective of the Scheme:

    To provide grants to NGOs that offer food, shelter, and other facilities to elderly women,destitute individuals, and disabled persons.

    Key Conditions of the Scheme:

    • Must be a resident of Maharashtra.
    • Age criteria: 60 years for destitute men and 55 years for elderly women.

    Benefits of the Scheme:

    Nutritional Grant: From February 2019, a monthly grant of ₹1,500/- per elderly resident for food, shelter, and medical treatment in the subsidized old age homes.

    Main Objective of the Scheme:

    To provide grants to NGOs that offer food, shelter, and other facilities to elderly women, destitute individuals, and disabled persons.

    Key Conditions of the Scheme:

    • Must be a resident of Maharashtra.

    Benefits of the Scheme:

    • Nutritional Grant: From February 2019, a monthly grant of ₹1,500/- per elderly resident for food, shelter, and medical treatment in the subsidized old age homes.

    • Creation of Positions on Remuneration: Approval for the creation of 322 positions on honorarium for 23 Matoshree Old Age Homes, with 14 positions per old age home, subject to the approval of the high-level committee.

    • A total of 322 emolument posts have been approved to be made available from the external system- i.e. 14 posts each for 23 Matoshree Old Age Home.
